A Busy Week in November

On Monday the council brought their flail and tractor to cut the overgrown bank behind Parkfield House. They have done this for 3 years now and it is really good for the Spring bulbs and wildflowers that are growing there. (See photo below)

On Friday one of the Park Rangers strimmed the slope in the Community Garden to keep the weeds down and encourage wildflowers. (See photo below)

On Saturday we planted Hellebores in Middlewood (see photo below). The Hellebores were a gift from a local resident. They flower in January to March so they will bring some welcome colour to Middlewood in the winter months.   We also cleared some ivy and brambles growing around fruit trees in the Community garden.
